Virtual infrastructure is an IT infrastructure based on software hosted on other virtual infrastructure and intended to be distributed as a service in the form of cloud infrastructure as a service delivery model (IaaS). It provides organizations, especially small ones that can build their own tangible infrastructure, to access state-of-the-art technology such as servers and applications. Distribution is usually done through the cloud, which means on large networks such as the Internet.
Virtual infrastructure has the following features:
Naked metal hypervisors enable full visibility of each x86 computer
Visual infrastructure services such as resource management and integrated backup to maximize existing resources between virtual machines
Automation solutions that provide specialized capabilities to improve a particular IT process such as disaster recovery or recovery.
